| Jennyvic Ditto of Wildcard |
Well, the whole idea was that I was to have puppies with my boyfriend, Ace. Posh name Gowerston Justin Time. Ace is quite the handsomest blue merle corgi in the world. He doesn't get shown - lucky thing - because he purrs on the show table like a cat. |
But then my owner discovered that my brother, Toby - smart name Yardican King of Diamonds - had had his wicked way with Ace's sister, Bumble. So there were some ready made puppies without my having to give up football and golf to produce any. |
The breeders, Jenny and Vic Wallace, with their kennel name Jennyvic, let my owner visit Bumble's puppies six days after they were born. There were three blue merle bitches and a couple of boys my colour.
| Ditto arrives |
First of all I thought Ditto was just coming to visit. But then when new beds and bowls and leads arrived I realised she was staying. She is quite a sweet little thing really. I do get slightly miffed when everyone oohs and aahs over her. |
When I first saw her I didn't even realise she was a Cardigan corgi. Her ears flopped down, then one popped up and she looked ridiculous but then the other shot up one morning. Ditto is destined to be a real show champion - at least that is what Ditto thinks - and from day one she has practised standing on the table, being very still and enjoying the hairdrier. |
I wouldn't say I am envious but I did think it was a bit tough when Ditto got on my blanket, slept in my cage and tried to swim in my water bowl.
| Why me? |
Jennyvic Ditto The Wildcard name was supposed to be for my puppies but we have tagged it onto her name. That is some compensation.
| Ditto the water babe I can't say I am heavily into swimming but Ditto is a natural. |
