CATS and DOGS
Our owner must prefer me. She takes me out in the car and the cats have to stay behind. Edward did get in the car once and scratched the leather seats so can't go again. Here he is in the car with me again but he is never allowed to travel.
Cats don't get baths. They probably can't swim. I have thought of trying to drown Edward while our owner isn't looking but she might be cross and I enjoy his cat biscuits.
Cats are really stupid and always sit on the laps of people who don't like them. I can tell straight away if someone doesn't like dogs and ignore them. I have learnt to stand my ground with him. He usually hogs the sofa or tries to push me off.
I live with my owner and two cats - Edward and Sophie. Very royal sounding. Edward is the top dog in the house and thinks he is a dog. He plays golf and is so lucky he doesn't have to be on a lead.
CATS
They are such snobs - aloof and unsociable.
Edward always tries to impress our owner by bringing her rabbits, mice, squirrels etc. How silly. She is much more thrilled when I bring her twigs and conkers.
I sleep in the kitchen and the cats don't. I think our owner doesn't trust them. They climb on the worktops. I wouldn't do that sort of thing. It is rude. I get so fed up with Edward in my bed but I don't fit into his!

Sophie Saunders - which way up?
Sophie was in a lot of trouble last week. She got locked in the dining room, scratched up the carpet and the door wouldn't. Once Sophie was out my owner had to get the carpet man to redo the carpet!
Edward is a real spoil sport. Everything I do he tries to copy. I sit to command for my biscuits each night. Guess what? Edward comes and sits by the larder door with me for his biscuits. My owner gets him little packets of goodies. They smell better than my biscuits but I don't dare pinch one in case Edward whacks me. He never does it while anyone watches. Boys can be very rough. Edward is a very spoilt, contented cat. He snores very loudly.
