Discover Dogs 2010
Well, Ditto and I both qualified for Crufts. The wretched puppy had just one chance to make it at a show in December and she did. All the people go "Ooh" and "Ah" when they see Ditto. Initially I thought it was sympathy and then I realised they really like her. Everyone to their own strange tastes.
We went to Discover Dogs at Earls Court in December 2010. It was very new for Ditto; I am an old hand at it. Anyway it was quite exciting because a foreign man asked my owner if he could buy her. I'd have taken the money. But my owner turned him down.
I wouldn't say I was envious when lots of people took a fancy to Ditto and wanted to take her photo. Hopefully one of them will buy her.
Crufts 2011
Anyway, we went off to Crufts at the NEC in Birmingham. Loads of fuss and nonsense with practising on the table, clean feet and the hairdryer. We even have a trolley now to save Ditto having to walk too far. We went in - three of us on a trolley - Ditto, my mum Maggie (Ch.Yardican Diamond Drop) and me.
Everyone went on and on and on some more about wonderful Ditto. The wretched little creature stood so still on the table, and paraded round the ring like a little superstar. And she won the best girl puppy (and then went on the beat the boy and be best puppy in the breed).
Hoorah, hoo - blooming - rah. And two other foreign people wanted to buy her. Jennyvic Ditto of Wildcard. I could spit. Another wanted to borrow her to do the European circuit. All this fuss about a puppy.

Last Laugh for Annika
My turn now! While everyone was praising the wretched little Ditto, it was my turn. My owner is hopeless at showing me and had arranged for Jeff Finney to take me round the ring in Postgraduate. He was a dream and it was like dancing with Fred Astaire. The lovely large ring at Crufts suited me and we led off the class at a fair old speed - gliding round as if we were made for each other.
Jeff and I won S0 while everyone was looking at the wretched Ditto Jeff led me to win the postgraduate. I think it was my fitness from football training that brought us success. And then we went on to win the Good Citizen Class for those of us who have done obedience. So, ha, ha, Ditto might be the star but I won two classes and three rosettes and she only won two!
