"Woof - golfers will think I was named Annika after the greatest woman golfer of all time - Annika Sorenstam of Sweden. In fact that isn't the case and my breeder had called me Annika because of my Scandinavian pedigree.

"Thank goodness my breeder had given me that nickname or my owner would probably have called me Beryl or Myfanwy. How embarrassing if she had called me Beryl. Imagine that being shouted across the golf course. But Annika - I love my name.

"In fact my pedigree name is Yardican Kween Bee. Yardican is the breeder's kennel name in Finland. Her name - Mrs. Aalto. I don't feel like a Kween Bee, though I do have some quite posh ideas about life!"

Cardigan corgis are perfect pets. We are very clean and don't need loads of grooming
We adore long walks and will easily do up to 10 miles. But give us a ball and we'll occupy ourselves for hours

We excel at obedience and agility - not as good as collies but we do love to work and play
This is the website of Annika - a wonderful Welsh Cardigan corgi - who belongs to Vivien Saunders, known by many in the women's golf world.  Vivien also has cats - Edward and Sophie - who feature on her website from time to time.  www.viviensaunders.com

" Woof - I was trained from day one that golf balls are not to be touched. As if I would. Here I am practising cosying up to a golf ball without actually touching it.

"Frankly golf seems a very boring game and I am far more enthusiastic about football."

You can also read about the other addition to our family - a blue merle Cardigan corgi puppy, called Jennyvic Ditto of Wildcard. I am not envious of Ditto. (Actually I am. This is my website. Mine, mine, mine.)

Ed and me!
My first feline friend is Edward Scissorpaws a wretched champagne coloured fellow who thinks HE is top dog in our house
My preferred cat is Sophie - whose tail is even larger and fluffier than mine.
